What is goji?
Goji is a plant that grows wild in Mongolia, Tibet and China and gives us its famous red berries. Also known as the “longevity plant”, goji is a very important source of nutrients (vitamins, beta-carotene and flavonoids are just a few), so much so that for centuries it has been one of the true pillars of traditional Chinese medicine.

Why are goji berries good for your skin too? There are two main reasons:
- Carotenoids: the carotenoid contained in the highest quantities inside goji berries is beta-carotene which, in addition to strengthening eyesight, helps tissues to grow and repair themselves. Its strong antioxidant action is also important, that is, it fights free radicals, responsible for skin aging.
- Vitamins and Minerals: The amount of vitamins contained in goji berries is truly impressive. Vitamin A acts against skin aging, while C and E strengthen it. But the mineral salts are no joke either: zinc and copper contribute to the formation of connective tissue.
