A tomato sauce with a full-bodied and unique taste, thanks to the selection of fine raw materials and tradition. The tomatoes come from certified Italian producers; the goji berries are 100% Italian and grown on our farm, as are all the aromatic herbs used in the preparation; the extra virgin olive oil is produced with a variety of olives typical of the Sibari plain, the “Dolce di Rossano”.

The recipe has been passed down through generations of women in the family and the copper pot is still used: cooking in an open basin and for a short time to give the flavor of a "freshly made sauce". The result is all the fresh flavor of the best natural tomatoes. Sauce characterized by the lack of onion in the soffritto, used for cooking the tomatoes, and for this very delicate. The freshness of the basil marries perfectly with the precious flavor of the goji berries.

Tomato Sauce with Goji and Basil: From the Field to the Table

Our peeled tomatoes are first chopped and then added to a light sauté of extra virgin olive oil and garlic. After a few minutes we also add the blended fresh Goji berries, basil and all the herbs. The result is an extremely delicate sauce, with a light flavor and a decidedly unique taste.

Abbinamento consigliato

Perfect accompaniment for any type of pasta, fresh or dry, or rice. Ideal as a base sauce for pizza or for preparing meat sauces or vegetarian sauces. It can also be used as the star of the aperitif on small bruschetta or hot crostini.
