The “Stuzzico” family brings the flavors of Calabria to the table thanks to an intriguing and tasty mix of chopped vegetables: in this version, juicy San Marzano tomatoes meet exquisite aubergines and peppers, the famous “IGP Tropea Calabria Red Onion”, the fresh taste of mint and the strong character of chilli pepper.

Stuzzico Magna Grecia: from the field to the jar

Let's start with the onions. These are peeled, washed and left to rest for 12-13 hours in a cold solution (water, extra virgin olive oil, wine vinegar and other spices). After draining them we grill them in a wood oven and chop them.

The aubergines are first washed, then peeled, cut into slices and left to rest for a few minutes in a cold solution. They are then drained, grilled and chopped.

The peppers are washed, cut and left to rest for a few hours in a cold solution. Then they are drained and grilled.

Now that all the ingredients are ready they are combined together, with the addition of extra virgin olive oil from "Dolce di Rossano" olives and other spices, heated to mix them better and then placed in jars.

Abbinamento consigliato

Ideal to pair with mature and semi-mature cheeses. Excellent to spread on hot croutons or bread and as a base for sandwiches. Perfect to accompany grilled and braised meats. Diluted with a spoonful of extra virgin olive oil it becomes a tasty sauce to sauté short pasta in the pan.
