Goji Berries Lycium Barbarum: A New Calabrian Specialty

The Goji berries Lycium Barbarum , known for their beneficial properties, are traditionally grown in the Himalayan valleys. These berries, defined as the fruit of longevity in traditional Chinese medicine, are now part of a revolutionary cultivation in the Sibari Plain, Calabria.

Our nutraceutical Goji Favella represents the flagship of production, thanks to more than 60,000 plants that allow us to be pioneers in the distribution of fresh goji berries in Italy and Europe. Studies conducted by the University of Perugia have shown that our Berries contain more than double the concentration of carotenoids , in particular zeaxanthin dipalmitate, a powerful antioxidant that plays a significant role in cellular protection and anti-tumor activity.

This splendid fruit is grown on our lands in the splendid Sibari plain and transformed shortly after harvest into the following products:

  • Jams : Perfect on bread or as a dessert filling, our goji jams enrich every one of your creations.
  • Tomato sauces : Tomato sauces enriched with goji berries transform every meal into an explosion of taste and well-being.
  • Fresh Berries : Ideal in any recipe or as a snack, our fresh berries are a real treat. They are only available during the summer from about June to about the end of September, depending on the weather.
  • Dried Berries : Ideal in any recipe or as a snack, our fresh berries are a real treat. Available all year round.
