A tomato sauce with a full-bodied and unique taste, thanks to the selection of fine raw materials and tradition. The tomatoes come from certified Italian producers; the vegetables and all the aromatic herbs are grown in the Favella gardens; the extra virgin olive oil is produced with a variety of olives typical of the Sibari plain, the “Dolce di Rossano”.

The recipe has been passed down through generations of women in the family and the copper pot is still used: cooking in an open basin and for a short time to give the flavor of a "freshly made sauce". The lack of onion gives a more delicate and light sauce, while the wild rocket gives a light spiciness.

Tomato and Wild Rocket Sauce: From the Field to the Jar

The preparation of our rocket sauce begins with a delicate sauté of extra virgin olive oil and whole garlic cloves, which we remove once the oil has been flavored. We then add the fresh tomatoes, which cook quickly in the traditional copper pot. A few minutes before the end of cooking we also add the wild rocket, hand-picked by our employees. Once the heat is off, a pinch of salt to adjust everything and we move on to packaging.

Perfect to accompany any type of pasta, in the preparation of meat ragù and as a sauce for white meat stews. Excellent protagonist of the aperitif on bruschetta or hot crostini together with fresh or mature cheeses. Delicious pizza sauce.
