A tomato sauce with a full-bodied and unique taste, thanks to the selection of fine raw materials and tradition. The tomatoes come from certified Italian producers; the vegetables and all the aromatic herbs are grown in the Favella gardens; the extra virgin olive oil is produced with a variety of olives typical of the Sibari plain, the “Dolce di Rossano”.
The recipe has been passed down through generations of women in the family and the copper pot is still used: cooking in an open basin and for a short time to give the flavor of a "freshly made sauce". The result is all the fresh flavor of the best natural tomatoes. This variation of the traditional sauce does not include the use of onion, for a more delicate and light sauce, while the basil is added at the end of cooking to keep the freshness intact.
Tomato and Basil Sauce: From the Field to the Jar
The preparation of our sauce begins with a light sauté of extra virgin olive oil and garlic. Then the peeled tomatoes are added and cooked quickly together with the herbs (salt and black pepper). Only at the end of cooking do we add the fresh basil, so as to keep intact all its unmistakable aroma.

Perfect to accompany any type of pasta and in the preparation of meat sauce. Excellent in the preparation of pizzas, canapés and puff pastry. It can also be used in the preparation of the classic bruschetta.
