A tomato sauce with a full-bodied and unique taste, thanks to the selection of fine raw materials and tradition. The tomatoes come from certified Italian producers; the goji berries are 100% Italian and grown on our farm, as are all the aromatic herbs used in the preparation; the extra virgin olive oil is produced with a variety of olives typical of the Sibari plain, the “Dolce di Rossano”.
The recipe has been passed down through generations of women in the family and the copper pot is still used: cooking in an open basin and for a short time to give the flavor of a "freshly made sauce". The result is all the fresh flavor of the best natural tomatoes. The combination with mint gives a fresh, tasty and healthy sauce.
Goji and Mint Sauce: From the Field to the Table
We start with a very light soffritto of extra virgin olive oil and onion, then we add the peeled tomatoes cut for quick cooking and the blended Goji berries. Only at the end of cooking we add the baked Goji berries and mint to the sauce, so as to preserve all the flavor and refined aroma.
Abbinamento consigliato
Perfect accompaniment for any type of pasta, fresh or dry, or rice. Surprising in the preparation of meat sauces and vegetarian sauces or as an accompaniment for lamb meat. It can also be used as the protagonist of the aperitif on small bruschetta or hot crostini.
